HAPTA member Marco Adamé, PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, received a 2016 APTA Emerging Leader Award, after being nominated by the HAPTA Board of Directors for his work as the chapter’s practice chair and Dry Needling Task Force chair.
Each year, APTA accepts nominations from chapters and sections for PT or PTA members who are early in their career and have made exceptional overall accomplishments and contributions to APTA, the component and the physical therapy profession to advance APTA’s vision.
Dr. Adamé joined the association as a student in the USC DPT program in 2003. He serves as a mentor at his clinic, Jaco Van Delden Physical Rehabilitation, where he works as a senior staff therapist and as the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education. He provides clinic in-services, and participates in community events and facilitates best practice through spearheading a digital Functional Outcome Measure system and other initiatives.
“Marco is self-motivated and a true leader. He is polite, pertinent and strong in his direction,” said HAPTA President Gregg Pacilio in his nomination letter.
The October issue of PT in Motion Magazine will include a story about this year’s 26 recipients.
