Position Summary

HolistiCare Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and clinically skilled Licensed Physical Therapist to join our growing outpatient team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, a passion for manual therapy and individualized care, and a genuine commitment to serving our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establish individualized plans of care
  • Deliver skilled, hands-on physical therapy treatment including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional mobility training, and patient education
  • Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants in accordance with Hawaii state practice guidelines
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor patient progress and modify plans of care as clinically indicated
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional clinic culture
  • Participate in ongoing mentorship, monthly clinical training sessions, and continuing education activities
  • Support patients from diverse backgrounds including elderly, underserved, and multilingual populations

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • Current Hawaii Physical Therapy license in good standing
  • Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
  • Proficiency in evidence-informed manual therapy techniques preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse and underserved patient populations
  • Organized, dependable, and committed to professional and clinical growth

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Orthopedic or manual therapy specialty certification (OCS, FAAOMPT, or equivalent)
  • Multilingual — Cantonese or Mandarin a strong plus
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedics, geriatrics, or community health settings
  • Prior experience supervising PTAs or mentoring clinical staff
